A few weeks back I got to stay at one of the lovely flats that Glasgow City Apartment’s rent out. We stayed at 103 Hutcheson Street in Glasgow’s Merchant City. Merchant City is one of my favourite parts of Glasgow with it’s buzzing bars & restaurants at night time so this was a great area to stay for the weekend.
The flat itself had gorgeous, stylish modern decor, it was very spacious and super clean which is a must for renting any apartment. It was so well kept I felt like it was just a large hotel room!
My favourite thing about the apartment was the large windows in the living area. It looks right on to Merchant City and at night it is all lit up with sky-line views!
We enjoyed some drinks in our apartment and then went for dinner and drinks at the Hutcheson’s City Grill which is literally at the door step of the Palazzo building which we were staying in.
We then went back to the apartment and enjoyed one of the many DvD’s provided and cozied up onto the big comfy couch and enjoyed a few drinks..
The next day we had breakfast at Singl-End which again is a restaurant right at the door step of the Palazzo building.
Staying at this location is so handy as you have everything within walking distance in the city centre such as bars and clubs and also train/bus stations and tourist attractions like George Square. Shopping in Buchanan Street is also less than a 5 minute walk so this apartment is a perfect location for someone who wants to explore around the city centre.
For those who want a bit more space and privacy when traveling, an apartment is great as you have your own fridge, washing machine and spaces to cook which a hotel does not. When travelling to Glasgow be sure to check out Glasgow City Flats.
