MARBELLA
I haven't even started writing this post and I'm already having major holiday blues..Marbella with the girls has to one of the best holidays I've ever been on. I could literally be anywhere and have a great time with these girls, amazing location..but better company, what else matters? Nikki Beach's "Amazing Sunday's" was our first stop..and it was definitely my favourite day of the holiday!
I have always been a bikini girl and have never really went for swimsuits in the past, but this year when trying to shop for new bikinis I just couldn't find any styles that I liked! I went on the hunt for simple and basic swimsuits that would go with all my beach wear and that I could accessorise up or down- Where's best for basics? American Apparel!! I tried on this style in white and black and I couldn't decide which I preferred so I got both! Although they are quite pricey for a simple swimsuit, they are a classic that I will bring out every summer.
The fit of this swimsuit was perfect, I love the high leg and low back- I'll definitely be wearing these as body-suits back home with skirts and jeans! Swimsuits are perfect for dancing about at Nikki Beach and hiding any food babies after over indulging in all the yummy food!
Nikki Beach is such a fun place to go with an amazing atmosphere- you can chill on the beds and soak up the sun or dance by the pool to the live music and entertainment. After realising we probably wouldn't make it to dinner after a full day of drinking rosé and cocktails we decided to order food..Sushi, pizza and salads in pineapples...Can I go back ASAP please?!
OLIVIA'S LA CALA
After a full day and night of partying, we took it easy on the Monday and headed to Olivia's La Cala for lunch by the beach..This is one of the most chic lunch locations I've ever been to, all white decor and amazing views of the sea from the outside terrace.
Keeping cool in the heat with a one shouldered light knit Zara dress (which is £7.99 in the sale right now!!) I love this dress- It can be worn dressed up at night time or casual like this as it's knit which makes it so versatile! I purchased this mustard pleated headband from Zara so long ago and have been waiting for the perfect opportunity to wear it..obviously Marbella is it. I've tried to find this on the website and it seems to be sold out but I have linked a similar one from ASOS above! This headband was the perfect match to my orange/yellow reflective sunglasses to brighten up an all black outfit!
I love accessorising, especially in Summer! I wore my Topshop lace up flatform sandals which I am completely loving right now..I just wish it would stop raining here in Glasgow so I could actually get a chance to wear them! These are no longer on the Topshop website but I have linked a pair from Boohoo above which are honestly identical and half the price..win win!
Okay..how amazing does this food look!? Olivia's wasn't just a pretty location..it was definitely one of my favourite places that we visited in Marbella- Sushi, salad, prawn tempura and of course a load of cocktails. It didn't just look amazing, it tasted it too! There is literally nothing better than an iced strawberry daiquiri whilst sitting in the sun..take meee back!
Back to the hotel to catch some sun before heading out at night-time! I love this little Zara one piece which could also be worn as a body with a skirt! I'm wearing my new Ultimate Collection sunglasses which are my new faves..so glam!
NIGHT TIME
All dressed up and ready for a big night out, This is the only night I actually took outfit pictures and night out pictures- I wish I took more of the places we ate and the clubs we went to at night but it's so easy to forget when you're having fun..oh and after a few drinks! I will list all the places I would recommend below!
This night we headed to Thai Gallery for dinner so I decided to wear this khaki midi dress from Miss Guided with all gold accessories, I love strapless dresses on holiday to show off glowy tanned skin!
After an amazing dinner at Thai Gallery we headed downstairs to a square which was full of the coolest outdoor bars, we sat in one called "UNI" and of course couldn't say no to some strawberry shisha!
Although I much preferred the day-time pool parties in Marbella, the night life was also unreal, dinner places I would suggest are La Sala, Thai Gallery Los Bandidos, Gatsby and if you want something a bit more casual Picasso on the port is great for pizza and pasta!
Night clubs I would recommend would be Tibu, Pangea, News Cafe and Cavalli Club.
OCEAN CLUB
Another pool party at Ocean Club, Although it was a more chilled vibe than Nikki Beach it was still so much fun. I think if we had went here on a weekend it would have been more like a party but I actually enjoyed relaxing, eating and drinking in the sun!
I'm wearing the same swimsuit here I wore to Nikki Beach but only in black. I also got another black swimsuit from American Apparel in the sale which was reduced to £30 from £60.. amazing. I didn't get a chance to wear it in Marbella but it will definitely be coming on holiday with me in September to the States!
Cheeers! Sharing the love with my cousin/bestie!
More sushi and rosé wine..and of course plenty of portions of fries! I never really ate a lot of sushi before this holiday but now I am completely hooked, especially after trying the chicken one at Ocean Club..since when is chicken sushi a thing?! I'm certainly not complaining.
PUERTO BANUS
On the last day, our flight wasn't till night time so we decided to head down to the port to do some shopping, we couldn't leave Marbella without checking out all the boutiques could we!? Oh and the views at the port.
I love shopping abroad as you can come across some really cute pieces that you wouldn't get back home. There was really nice Spanish boutiques with the most amazing statement pieces. Sandro and Maje stores were also on the Port..I think I wanted everything from these two stores.
We also went to a near by shopping centre which had a huge Zara and Berska..I picked up lots of basics in Berska as there isn't one in Scotland. It's so cheap and I love the fit of all the body-suits I picked up, definitely some new basics in my wardrobe which will be coming to the blog soon! I'll for sure be shopping online at Bershka from now on!
Until next time Marbella..we'll be back next year!
