A last minute trip to London (and by last minute I mean we booked the night before) turned into the perfect lead up to Christmas with my boyfriend. With only two days to cram in everything, we planned our trip to perfection on the train down and managed to squeeze so much in. London is so beautiful at Christmas time with so much fun stuff to do and places to go..Writing this is giving me major January blues..take me back!

PRINCESS TEA PARTY

Our train arrived quite late into London and after getting settled into our hotel which was situated in Paddington (amazing location for getting around) we went for a lovely dinner at Pizza East which is super casual but really tasty with a great atmosphere..After a few drinks we headed back for a good nights sleep so we could wake up early to get the most out of our next day!

We started our day at the famous cake shop Peggy Porschen and it certainly didn't disappoint! I am really girly at heart and with the overload of everything pink and sparkly I couldn't resist. The cake displays are so amazing, I've never really seen anything quite like it..I know where my wedding cake will be getting made..

COVENT GARDEN

Macaroon stop? Yes please! I have wanted macaroons from Ladurée for so long and when we visited Covent Garden we popped in for a quick snack and a few drinks! It was so cute to sit outside with it's heaters to soak up the Christmassy atmosphere in Covent Garden.

Covent Garden is so lovely to visit especially at Christmas time, the decorations and music has everyone in such a festive mood and the shops/places to eat are definitely worth visiting if you are in London!

THE IVY CHELSEA GARDEN

After visiting The Ivy when I was in LA a few months ago, I was really excited to go for a late lunch at the one in Chelsea..How beautiful are these Christmas decorations? They decorate the entrance depending on the time of year; with Christmas baubles, bells and greenery during the winter months and with hundreds of roses and flowers during summer.

London is amazing for a quick city break and change of scenery for a couple of days away from home. There is so much to do and I would have loved a few more days here as my bucket list is endless..I'll be back London!
