A SPECTACULAR EVENT AT TURNBERRY
Last week, I was invited to one of the most amazing events I have ever attended as a blogger. I was invited to a wedding spectacular 24 hour event at the Trump Turnberry hotel in Ayrshire Scotland.
The hotel and Beattie Communications were working together to promote weddings at the beautiful hotel and invited myself, other influencers, journalists and press along to experience the full package at the hotel..and it was definitely a trip to remember.
We started our day off with arrival food and drinks and getting checked into our rooms. I honestly could not believe how beautiful my room was. It was HUGE! Go to my Instagram highlight “Turnberry Event” to see the videos of my amazing room.
In our room, gifts bags had been made up for me and my boyfriend containing lovely products from the Spa such as AARAN skincare, candles and gorgeous Turnberry crystal wine glasses.
Our room also had champagne, snacks and beautiful flowers on our arrival, we were truly spoilt!
When I heard the main event was in the Grand Ball Room at the hotel, I was on the hunt for something glamorous to wear. When a brand Cari’s Closet got in touch with me I knew their dresses would be perfect for this event. I went for this long, rose gold embellished gown with a low back and I absolutely loved it, click here to shop. I just wish I could wear this everyday..
Champagne, Canapes & String Quaret At The Light House
The world famous light house at Turnberry hotel is one of the most gorgeous scenes to look at. It looks over the Isle of Arran, Ailsa Craig and really creates breath-taking views for pictures on a special occasion like a wedding I sometimes forget how beautiful Scotland really is. I was so excited when we got the chance to visit the light house for drinks & canapes before the big event.
A String Quaret played for us as we soaked in the views and explored the light house, along with amazing food and drinks to start the night. We also all got given the most beautiful corsages.. We really were getting into the wedding vibe!
Main Event in the Ballroom
This ballroom is absolutely unforgettable. It just looks so grand and special with the huge glistening chandeliers and massive windows with amazing views. There’s so many things you could do with this room to create your own vision. The room can be sectioned, the floor can be changed. We had amazing entertainment all night with a harp player and amazing ball room dancers.
For dinner we had a lovely 3 course meal.
For starter I had Salt Baked Dowhill Beetroot, Charred Shallot, Ailsa Craig Goats Cheese, Pickled Egg Yolk Puree.
For main, which I clearly enjoyed a bit too much as I forgot to get a picture! I had Grass-Fed Fillet of Beef, Cottage Pie, Heather Honey Glazed Root Veg, Cavalo Nero & Truffle Jus Gras and Chocolate Orange Marquise, Salted Caramel Donut and Tonka Bean Ice-cream for dessert.
Trump Turnberry are really good at using the best ingredients from local suppliers and have a commitment and passion in using sustainable produce which I think is really attractive when choosing food for an event.
A Special Surprise To Finish Off The Evening..
A great end to a great evening, we were all surprised with a gorgeous firework display outside the ballroom, it was really special.
Breakfast in the 1906 Restaurant
We had a relaxing day ahead of us on Friday morning. We went to breakfast where you could help yourself to the huge buffet and order hot food from the grill. There were even beautiful views from the breakfast room.
SPA
Me and Daniel then headed off to the Spa where we relaxed in the pool area where you can see the amazing sea-views. How relaxing.
We were then treated to a massage each which really got us into relaxation mode to start off our weekend! ISHGA and ESPA products were used during the massage and they smelt amazing!
The Spa was a great way to wind down after a busy event the night before. After our treatments we got to enjoy the hydrotherapy suites and relaxation rooms.
Afternoon Tea in The Grand Tea Lounge & Bar
After a morning of relaxation we then enjoyed some afternoon tea in the hotel (my absolute favourite).
I wondered why this area of the hotel was called “The Grand Tea Lounge” and then I discovered that they had 25 different flavours of tea when we were being served our afternoon tea..I found this so interesting as I love tea and trying new flavours. I went for the flowering tea which is a little flower bud and it blooms into a big flower in the jug when it is ready to be poured.
The sandwiches and cakes were so tasty and the attention to detail in the presentation was amazing. They looked and tasted perfect.
We had such a special time at the event. A massive thank you to everyone at Turnberry & Beattie Communications for planning such a lovely event for us all. If anyone is ever looking for a venue for a wedding you need to check Trump Turnberry out.
