SUNNY STRIPES
ZARA STRIPED JACKET (SIMILAR) - H&M SKIRT (SIMILAR) - YSL BLOGGER BAG - ADIDAS STAN SMITHS - QUAY SUNGLASSES
I am so obsessed with my newest purchase, the Saint Laurent "blogger bag" - If you often read my blog then you will know that I love small bags. The only big bag I ever tend to use is my Céline Belt Bag and that is usually in winter months. I don't know what it is but small bags appeal to me so much in Summer, I just don't like slugging about with a large bag.
I wanted to purchase a small bag that would be perfect for all my travels this Summer. After being on the hunt for so long, YSL launched it's new bag and it was love at first sight- Not to mention it's super cute name which made me need it so much more!
It's the perfect bag for a few essentials and actually fits quite alot. Inside, I can fit two lipsticks, money, a cardholder, a mini perfume and hairbrush and a few other essentials..What else do you need? Oh your iphone...but my iphone 6+ has no chance of fitting in this, but what are pockets for?
When I say that this bag goes with everything, I'm not lying! It's perfect for any outfit, casual or fancy. Most of my bags have a chain so I was happy to see this bag had a thin leather strap which is so perfect for Summer. No one wants sun cream or lotion all over their bag chains. I also find that chains dig into me when I wear them for too long. I don't even feel like I have a bag across my body when wearing this little beauty. It's definitely my favourite buy of the Summer. It's the perfect city bag and it will definitely be coming on my trip to Amsterdam next week.
Sunny weather in Glasgow doesn't happen often so it only means one thing..A pop of colour and bare legs! I was planning on taking this outfit with me to Amsterdam but after checking the weather it would definitely be too warm to wear a jacket and i've already totally over packed..oops! So it made for the perfect look for shopping and lunching in the sun. I got this jacket 3 years ago in Zara and I always find myself pulling it out every year, it's the perfect jacket to complete a plain outfit and make a statement.
The rest of my outfit was made up of simple basics to keep the attention on my new bag and bright jacket. I am definitely a believer of one statement piece per outfit..maybe I need to experiment more? But I think thats just my style. Of course I wore my Stan Smith's for this day, although I kind of looked like I was off to play tennis..It made my outfit casual and comfortable for a hot day in the city!
