3 PAIRS OF JEANS THAT WILL LAST EVERY SEASON

I personally used to have 25 pairs of jeans sitting at the bottom of my wardrobe and I would rarely wear more than my favourite 2 pairs. Yet,I still continued to buy more and more…

After having a major clear out at the start of the new year, I gave a lot of my denims to charity. I honestly not only find it easier to style my outfits but my wardrobe is much more minimal and I feel so much better. For my design unit at university, my garment was made out of up-cycled denim. When I was researching this, I was so shocked to find that it takes 1800 gallons of water to produce ONE pair of jeans!!!

I want to show you that by picking wisely, you can produce lots of everyday outfits in your wardrobe around the same pair of jeans! I have picked 3 pairs of jeans that last me all year around and these are the only ones I own. I tend to wear certain ones more often at certain times of the year. I have styled 4 outfits using 3 pairs of jeans. All outfits are from Topshop, their denims are my forever favourite as they are amazing quality, fit and price! Topshop also promote sustainability with the use of their ‘Fashion Footprint’ programme which is what I am trying to get across to my readers in this post.

I have put together a styling board for you all to see prices and detailed images of each product! This is my absolute go-to outfit during the Spring and Summer months. These jeans are my favourite pair out of the 3. They can be dressed up for a night out or worn casual with trainers!

I find myself wearing this outfit a lot, changing things up such as the top, hair style and accessories such as sunglasses. Whenever i’m struggling to style an outfit I always use these jeans as my base!

I have styled this 2nd outfit using the exact same pair of jeans, shoes and bag and it still looks completely different! If you invest in good basics you can create lots of different outfits repeating your favourite pieces!

During the summer months jeans and a white t-shirt are key. They are my essential basics with every casual outfit. These can be worn again and again and look different if styled with different jackets! A jacket can completely transform and change an outfit. and no one will notice you are outfit repeating!

Black jeans are a must during the Autumn and Winter months, it’s all I wear! I love this pair as they are a bit different to your usual with the raw hems. These can be worn on show or tucked into boots and they look like a completely different pair of jeans!

I love a statement coat during the colder months as I feel I can pull it on over anything and be ready to go, just like the teddy coats from the last blog post! I tend to layer black basics during Autumn and Winter so my black jeans are worn almost everyday!

I personally think I could live with one pair of blue jeans and one pair of black jeans as seen above. But I do own this grey pair which I have styled with the products above and below. They are great for changing it up if I feel like I am constantly wearing black. I would wear these for a casual look with trainers or boots and a simple tee and leather jacket.

If you find yourself continuously buying jeans and never finding the right ones, go on the hunt and find yourself 2 or 3 pairs of jeans that go with everything, fit amazingly, are affordable and will last you year after year. Upcycle, recycle or give your old denims to someone who will wear them and keep your wardrobe minimal, I promise you won’t regret it!
